Jaecoo J5 — Chery's premium off-road-styled compact SUV

Jaecoo is Chery's upmarket, adventure-flavoured sub-brand, and the J5 is its compact entry — a boxy, upright SUV with clean Range Rover-ish surfacing, a bold grille, flush door handles and a genuinely premium-looking cabin for the segment. Inside you get a large central touchscreen, a clean minimalist dashboard, ambient lighting and a solid materials story.

It's aimed squarely at younger urban buyers who want SUV presence and a modern tech load without stepping up to a big flagship. Depending on market the J5 is offered with a turbocharged petrol engine, and an electric J5 EV exists in some regions too. Despite the rugged looks it's more a stylish city SUV than a hardcore off-roader.
